What to bring

Please bring:

​

  • Pen and paper or some way of taking notes

  • A packed lunch - local choices are limited and the lunch break is short

  • A water bottle

  • A smart phone or camera to record your coaching session if desired (active participants)

  • Sheet music or lead sheets for the pianist (active participants).

 

Recording and photos

Active participants may record their solo singing slot. Otherwise, we ask that you do not make any recordings of the workshop. We will aim to take a group photo during the day; you can opt out if you prefer.

 

Accessibility

A reminder that access to 606 Club is via stairs to a lower ground floor level. The team 606 Club are always happy to welcome anyone with a disability and will do their best to facilitate access as much as possible. About the team

Claire Martin OBE is a critically acclaimed Brighton-based jazz singer. She has won the British Jazz Awards 8 times and is a proud recipient of the BASCA Gold Badge Award for her contribution to songwriting. Claire has released more than 20 albums, including Almost in Your Arms, her most recent collaboration with the Martin Sjöstedt Jazz Trio.

 

Stefan Holmström, MFA and Estill Master Trainer (EMT), is a professional opera singer and voice teacher. Following a career performing at Glyndebourne, Grange Park Opera, Opera Holland Park and as a member of the Phantom of the Opera Company at Her Majesty's Theatre in London, Stefan offers expert vocal training and workshops to a wide range of singers and speakers from his studio in central Brighton.

Scott Roedersheimer is our coordinator. He'll be supporting Claire and Stefan and will make sure that everything runs smoothly.

​

Rob Barron is a is a London-based jazz pianist, arranger and composer who has been described as "one of the most creative and versatile musicians of his generation". Please visit Rob Barron's website to read more. â€‹
